Senses.

This old road has too many memories carved into the pavement
To watch you sing the way you used to, the way you still do.
But with a different look in those eyes, not the one that loved me;
The look of a man that does not know me.

When I touch my skin, I feel your hands.
When I close my eyes, I see your face.
When I fall asleep, I hear your voice.
When I try to forget, I can't.

And I can't stand that I can't forget how beautiful you are.
And that I can't sleep without you snoring in my ears
Knowing you're keeping Atlanta awake with the horrible sound.
Moaning in someone elses ear that doesn't love you the same.

When I touch my skin, I feel your hands.
When I close my eyes, I see your face.
When I fall asleep, I hear your voice.
When I try to forget, I can't.

It gets harder and harder to hold you at the end of the night
When you say you love me, then send me to my empty bed smelling of you.
Knowing that nothing and everything possible has changed,
Simply because you changed your mind about loving who I was.

When I touch my skin, I feel nothing.
When I close my eyes, I see black.
When I fall asleep, I hear my own snoring.
When I try to remember, I can't.
